About the Project:

It’s on almost everyone’s bucket list, taking a flight on the Goodyear blimp. Not only does Kirk Hawkin’s of KTLA float above Los Angeles, he actually gets to pilot this historic Lighter Than Air Vehicle above spectacular views of Long Beach.
My Contribution:
We had limited time on the flight, about 45 minutes, so we had to be sure to get a full interview, have our talent, Kirk Hawkins, sit in the pilot’s seat, shoot the outro and capture in-flight b-roll. It was a tall order, and I had to work closely with cameraman, Jose Hernandez, Jr. and audio recordist, Eric Pearce, to get all the footage and sound we needed to tell this story.
