Finding a local angle for celebrating the 2025 GoBowling float, we investigated this recently restored 1927 bowling alley in the heart of Los Angeles: Highland Park Bowl. Discover why bowling balls travel underground and what exactly a pin boy did back in the day — and, of course, cheer for Megan Telles as she hits a strike for her Granny!
My Contribution:
My directive for this piece was to surprise Executive Producer Bryan Hileman with facts that he did not know about this place and about bowling. With the charming Megan Telles as talent, we prepped questions and then just had fun as she learned about this historic location and had fun bowling. Kudos to cameraman Kris Arciaga for his excellent images and great attitude. We bookended the piece with footage we captured from a modern bowling alley to be sure to capture a contemporary aspect of bowling that would tie in to the float.
