What would you do if you discovered that your daughter had the ability to put people’s souls into bottles? And that she had been practicing on the patients at the nursing home where you worked? Well, for Mira, the mother of a teenager with budding paranormal abilities, she sees an opportunity to right a wrong that broke up her family. Never assume anyone is a nice person…

My Work on this Project.

I have collaborated with the talented author Samantha Henderson on several projects, and she allowed me to interpret her creepy and intriguing short story, Bottles, for the screen. The key challenge was finding a new structure that sucked you into the story without losing any of the suspense or shock at the disturbing conclusion of the film. Producing with Jason Miller, we took a very low budget and squeezed every ounce onto the screen, with cinematography, visual effects and sound design that match the emotional depth of this tale.  The result was a disturbing film, with excellent craft, that allowed its stars’ performances to shine.

Screening on IndieFlix as part of the Periphery Project, a feature film anthology
